The combination of light protection (UVA / UVB & IRA) and antioxidant cell protection actively prevents and reduces the first signs of skin aging. The active ingredient, Pycnogenol® (OPC: oligomeric proanthocyanidin, a plant-based bio-flavonol) neutralises free radicals which significantly speed up the skin’s aging process. The cells are protected, the capillaries are stabilised.

The Filaggrinol active ingredient complex stimulates the formation of the protein fillagrin in the epidermis. This protein is crucial in the formation of the skin’s own amino acids which are responsible for the production of NMFs (natural moisturising factors). The skin is therefore better able to supply itself with moisture because the pool of amino acids is larger.

Omega-3 fatty acid is one of the most essential fatty acids for dry skin, psoriasis and neurodermatitis. It counteracts barrier and cornification disorders and reduces transepidermal water loss (TEWL), thereby protecting the skin from moisture loss. Omega-3 fatty acids also effectively prevent inflammation. They form inflammation-inhibiting chemical messengers which reduce inflammatory processes within the cell membranes that arise, for example where arachidonic acid is broken down.
